The team continued their fine running pace at Silverstone with Ollie taking 2nd and Ryan taking a very creditable 4th position in qualifying. It was a very close race at the front however Ollie had to settle for 3rd position. Ryan took the flag in 5th position - his best result to date.
Oulton Park was going to be a real challenge for the team - just like Anglesey. DNA had never raced there - though all their rivals had. The Friday testing was consumed with a lot of set-up work with the very little knowledge we had with the track. Oliver White managed to qualify a very respectable 2nd position with Ryan taking 7th. The race was very eventful (as they usually are) with Ryan unfortunately being hit off at the first corner. Ollie showed why he was the championship leader by taking yet another win going into the championship finale at Snetterton.
All Ollie needed was a 2nd position in Race 1 at Snetterton to take the championship win. For this weekend Motors TV were present to record the races which would be shown on the Channel. Ollie qualified 3rd for race 1, but immediately moved up into 2nd at the first corner. He was then all over the leader until he was very rudely hit at the esses. He held an almighty slide and stayed in 2nd position. The same driver that hit him at the beginning of the race then started applying pressure onto Ollie at the closing stages of the race. It was bumper to bumper going into the last corner on the last lap when hell broke loose. Ollie received a massive hit on the rear which yet again sent him into a massive slide. He just managed to save it and crossed the line in 2nd taking the 2009 Saxmax Championship Title. Ryan finished a fine 8th in Race 1 and 6th in Race 2 to confirm his position as 3rd in the Rookie Title.
DNA Motorsport wish all the best to Oliver White and Ryan Ratcliffe who are leaving Saxmax in 2009.
